Participation in the pay-per-views gives you an opportunity to face a performer from the real main event in a showcase match.

The structure is arranged around the real-life WWE calendar and it tasks you with qualifying for the upcoming WWE pay-per-view event.Įach event requires a specific amount of points and you earn them by winning and/or participating in matches. Finally, we're able to take our MyPlayer Superstars online to battle other user creations. This mode introduces some elements of a collector's theme and online multiplayer. The different challenges you encounter on your road to the top are entertaining enough to keep you from getting bored quickly. There's a new promo engine that works a little better than last year's dry execution. It mostly works and keeps you engaged with your character and allows you an opportunity to interact with other Superstars. The environment a switches from show or PPV event venue to WWE Performance Center while you're in NXT and the base (so to speak) changes once you get to the WWE. This isn't as vast of an area as you see in NBA 2K18 with the Neighborhood, but it has some freedom. The M圜areer mode is much deeper now than it has been in previous years. It's a really nice touch that requires a skillful hand and eye, but still a solid addition. As I went through all of the options, I couldn't believe all of the things I could change and sculpt. The create-a-wrestler feature is insanely deep. It literally feels as if there are no limitations. Like NBA 2K's MyLeague and Madden's Draft Champions, the mode is the pinnacle of its sub-genre.

If there were a Hall of Fame for modes within in a sports game, WWE 2K18's creation suite would be worthy of enshrinement.
